1. You must post the rules.
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in the post, and create 10 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
3. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
4. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged them.
5. No tag backs.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about "you're tagged if you're reading this"
You legitimately have to tag 10 people.
7. Don't read the rules. Nobody ever reads the rules.
8. Post the tagged journal on this journal

The questions I need to answer:

1. Why are we here?
Why not?

2. will you subscribe to [link] ?
No. Already did.

3. are you an alien?
If you are from Earth, you would probably consider me to be not an alien.
If you are not from Earth, then you probably would consider me an alien.

4. Will you beta test my game when it's ready for testing?

5. did you know I'm making a game?

6. was #2 shameless advertising?

7. Metal or funk?
Not sure what funk is, but some lighter metal (i.e. no rough screaming) is okay for me.

8. do the clouds have eyes or is that just me?

9. are you a brony?

10. Will you marry me? (No guys!?)

Now I need to tag some people:

:iconmadeinkobaia: :iconjamiewhitesnotebook: :iconilnanny: :iconainq: :iconanaershadowynomaly:

:icongivesnofuck: :iconcycronwastaken: :iconubuntico: :iconlagadesk: :iconcassidyjames:

My questions for them:

1. Coke or Pepsi?

2. What is you current wallpaper?

3. Favourite TV show?

4. What game have you played most recently?

5. What is the answer to this question?

6. What did you last eat?

7. What's a board game that you really like?

8. Chocolate milk?

9. What web browser do you use?

10. If you could have one super power, what would it be?

GNOME-Shell 3.6 theme ports

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 18, 2012, 3:58 PM

I do plan on updating my themes to work with GNOME-Shell 3.6

I released the update for ACID today:… and hopefully the others will follow soon enough.

As it says here:… from Nov. 12 - Nov. 17, if you buy a prepaid premium membership you'll get double the length. e.g. a 3 month PM would get you 6 months.

Just saying, if you're planning on getting one soon, do it then.

I'm doing a llama for llama trade, just give me a llama and I'll send one your way, too. :)
"To protect our users, deviantART does not allow archives which contain executable files, password protection, or other archives. Please remove these files from your archive and try again."

What is this crap?

So now I can't include 2 versions of my themes in the same download anymore. e.g. A GNOME-Shell theme for the current version and a version back, in case some people haven't upgraded yet, or 2 variations on a Metacity theme

Now instead of zipping them, so people can use the GUI to install my themes, I have to just include the folders, and tell the users to copy them manually, since deviantART does not let me include more than one archive anymore.

I do not appreciate this.
I've been trying to make some wallpapers out of photos that I took and edited in GIMP, but I'm not sure if they're any good.

If anyone has suggestions, just tell me what you think

Thanks :)

(I was going to use a nice journal skin, since it's free PM day, but its not letting me for some reason :/)

They're all up-to-date with GNOME-Shell 3.4 now! :D

Taking a break

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 2, 2012, 5:59 PM

I thought you people might be wondering what I've been up to (or not up to) lately.
I have decided to not work on any themes until GNOME 3.4 comes out in April. This is because I don't want to work on a theme and then have to port it so soon after it is released.

So, my plans as of now (all GTK3):
In progress: Tunefish (codename), Minimal (unnamed)…
Ports: London Smoke…,…, Cold v2 (request)…, Pre vi20rickrmetal12us.deviantart.…
Considering: Mediafire

Thank you for this gift, my anonymous friend, I appreciate it.

1 week left...

Journal Entry: Tue Jan 24, 2012, 1:59 PM

Only 1 week left of my premium membership :/

It hasn't been all that different, mostly just nice that I can use Journal skins and admin more than 3 groups at once. The good thing about this is that now that I do admin more than 3 groups, it will keep that even when my PM expires :)

Anyway, just wanted to make a least one more journal entry before it runs out ^^

Mp3 player update

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 28, 2011, 1:47 PM

Alright, I got the 8GB one, and it's pretty nice :)

I rooted it, and removed the junk-ware, installed a bunch of apps and games, and , ofc, copied all my music over.

At first the battery was being pretty crappy, but I deactivated all the phone stuff (hopefully), and now it looks like I should be getting 11-12 hours or so with wifi on. Probably more like 15-16 with wifi off.

So, a few questions:

Is that decent for battery life? I'm new to these things.

Also, does anyone know of a tanks-like game for Android? (Think Atomic Tanks)

Does anyone know if you can add extra voice actions for Android 2.3? I wish I could e-mail people, or start chats, or play music.

Is it just me or is Firefox mobile really slow compared to the default Android browser? I like having Firefox synced, but it's so slow :/

New mp3 player thoughts?

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 21, 2011, 1:16 PM

I'm thinking of getting a new mp3 player, and thought this… looked good.
Right now I have a 4GB Philips GoGear, kinda like…

I'm running out of room, and want a bigger mp3 player, but I think it would also be nice to have an android device with wifi, etc.

Just asking for opinions, as this would be a bit pricey in my opinion (I got my current mp3 player for $30)

Also, I'd like to know how it would work in Linux, as that's what I'd be using it on. I'm not sure if it's just a flash storage device, like I'm used to, or if I need to do some other kind of thing, etc.

Or any other suggestions on an mp3 player?

Just passing this along...

Wallpaper Collab

Journal Entry: Sat Dec 17, 2011, 4:49 PM

I recently took some photos that I think would make a good wallpaper, the 3d-room type, kind of like… .

So I tried editing them, to get something nice, but I'm not much of a photographer or wallpaper-artist, (I got so far), so I thought I'd ask if anyone wanted to work on the wallpaper with me.

I'd the pictures in a zip file, which you can grab here:…

It would be really cool if someone more experienced with wallpaper-making could have a go at this :)

Shameless group advertisement!

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 15, 2011, 5:52 PM

Just some group information!

Taken from my friend :icongivesnofuck::

I'm just writing this to tell everybody in the group that you should invite your customizer friends to the group. :hooray:
Why, i don't know, so the group can become bigger and when you submit a :deviation: everybody can :+fav: it and :typerhappy: on it!

btw: You don't have to, but it will be great if you do. 8-)

I thought that this was well-said, and :iconlinux-lounge: could use a little growth, too.
Also, my other buddy :iconrobin-safuddin: would like me to invite people to his group as well :)

So, please invite your customizer friends to:

New Gallery

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 15, 2011, 2:36 PM

So I thought I'd revamp my gallery with a new skin and icons, take a look.…

I also thought I'd try out a new journal skin, to match it :)

By the way

These skins aren't made by me, I just found them an thought they looks good.

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 28, 2011, 6:22 AM

Hey there,
The icon contest over at :iconcustom-linux: is in the voting stage now.
You vote by :+fav:ing the icon you want, whichever has the most :+fav:s by December 12 wins.
So go out and vote for your favourite icon, the contest folder is here:…
It would be great if you guys could vote for one of mine, since each only has one :+fav:, and :iconlagadesk: already has 6 :+fav:s!
I personally like my dark one better :)

Spread the word, and don't let this go through!
